As a poet,
Sitting by my window, waiting for inspiration,
and suddenly it strikes, but its a perception,
that whatever I write, could be a declaration,
that could not affect just me and you, but a whole generation.
As a poet,
I’ve experienced black days,
where my pen doesn’t move because it doesn’t hear what my heart says,
the only hope of writing comes from the beautiful sun rays,
finally I scribble, I’m happy as a donkey given hay.
As a poet,
Focused yet distracted,
but my pen still bled,
through the sight of people, their emotions I’ve read,
and by the scribbling of my pen, their paths I’ve cleared.
As a poet,
I’ve realised that poetry isn’t just about what we write,
its about the lives of the readers we set right,
losing them up from the despondencies that held them tight,
and finally we make their world shine bright.
As a poet,
I live to write words that are Inspirational,
sometimes it makes me emotional,
my type of poetry isn’t mythical,
every line could be self translated when you’re rational.
As a poet,
Poetry gets me out of a quagmire,
for my soul its an emulsifier,
it engulfs my heart and causes all sadness to ceasefire,
poetry came into my world, A Pacifier.
